Onboarding Introduction

Setting up a Branch wallet for a user requires providing us with KYC details so we can verify the user's identity:

• First Name
• Last Name
• Date of Birth
• Social Security Number
• Address
• Phone Number
• Email Address

The birthdate provided must be for a user greater than 14 years of age. Some organizations may not allow accounts unless the age is 18 or greater.

You can send this user KYC data to us, or we can collect it from the user as part of onboarding. Which of those you choose determines which of two onboarding methods to use:

Wallet Create

If you have already collected KYC information before onboarding, you can use Wallet Create.

Employee Create

If you are not going to capture KYC information before onboarding, for example in some cases this is not possible, then you can use Employee Create.
