Onboarding Introduction

Overview

Workers for your organization can have accounts and wallets automatically generated for them, if the necessary personal details are collected. This automatic onboarding eases adoption for disbursing payments to workers with minimal friction and cost.

Know Your Customer (KYC)

Setting up a Branch wallet for a user requires providing us with KYC details so we can verify the user's identity:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Date of Birth
  • Social Security Number
  • Address
  • Phone Number
  • Email Address

The birthdate provided must be for a user greater than 14 years of age. Some organizations may not allow accounts unless the age is 18 or greater.

You can send this user KYC data to us, or we can collect it from the user as part of onboarding. Which of those you choose determines which of two onboarding methods to use:

Create a Wallet

If you have already collected KYC information before onboarding, you can Create a Wallet.

Create an Employee

If your system is not able to collect all KYC information before onboarding, then you can Create an Employee instead. Afterwards, the user will provide the rest of the KYC information necessary for creating the wallet.
